This last week of April, students began air sealing and flashing the exterior of the windows so that the louver system on the South side of the house can be installed. A rainy day at the beginning of the week allowed some students to go back to the warehouse and cast concrete tiles for the front deck. As better weather emerged, students installed siding on the South side of the house and built formwork for the sidewalk and curb at the street in hopes that the this last portion of concrete for the project will be poured next week. In other site work, students put in a trench drain at the South edge of the site to improve drainage of the side yard. Studio 804 is also very grateful for the nice meal prepared at the end of the week by very generous KU Architecture graduate and Studio 804 Advisory Board member Kevin Harden.
