As we acclimate to the new warehouse, Prescott Passive House surges forward. This week saw continued work in our relationships with product suppliers along with developments in lighting, roof drainage, and the exterior wall section. We've also begun casting concrete to test various molds and mixtures for the bathroom countertops. We are excited to have chosen and ordered Douglas Fir as the exterior cladding this week as well (which will be burned in the shou-sugi-ban process).
At the same time, we continue to push through the plan review process with Wyandotte County. Excavation and foundation work will soon follow. Due to transportation concerns among others we have also decided to construct the Prescott Passive House on-site, while still prefabricating important elements of the design in the new warehouse.
