Prescott Passive House
With the conclusion of week two, Studio 804 has officially moved into a new warehouse located roughly four miles from KU's campus. As we finalize construction details and interior decisions, the site survey for 32/34 South 16th Street is now in order. We have also submitted to Wyandotte County for a building permit. We will get our current project's official street address upon permit approval. Excavation and the beginnings of the Insulated Concrete Form foundation should follow soon. As we push forward, we aim to make a final decision on exterior cladding this week. We are experimenting with a Japanese burning method called shou-sugi-ban that preserves and protects wood for exterior application.
