With the help of CWHC, the Prescott neighborhood is being revitalized through new home building as well as other educational programs and safety efforts. A rejuvenation in the area is evolving with the recent opening of the Sun Fresh Market in the Prescott Plaza Shopping Center which had its first business open in August of 2008.
The area has a strong sense of community tied both to the young and old members of the neighborhood. The total collaboration in the area between CHWC, the neighborhood association and local businesses creates a strong relationship which enhances the community.
In conjunction with Studio 804, CHWC and the Prescott neighborhood aim to enhance the neighborhood by producing a centrally located sustainable residence on South 16th Street that can serve as a catalyst to both educate the homeowner and the community.
