Marvin Yard Canopy

This protective cover was designed and built by Studio 804 in the spring of 1997. It provides a useful canopy over outdoor activities behind Marvin Hall, the home of the School of Architecture at the University of Kansas. Referred to as the Building Technology Yard, the canopy protects valuable exterior space from the elements.  Now an invaluable asset to the school, the Marvin Hall canopy is used by students at all studio levels, cultivating the principles of material investigation throughout the education process that Studio 804 prides itself upon.
