The first half of the week we met as a studio in Marvin Hall to work on the design for different aspects of the house. As a class, we examined the overall design and set a timeline for each project. Included in the discussions were the stair core, the bathroom design, and the kitchen cabinetry. After we reached an agreement on the overall aesthetic and method of construction for each immediate project, it was time to get back on site.
On Thursday the garage slab was poured. We hand trowled the concrete to provide a necessary slope, preventing water from collecting inside the house.
