We started off this week by removing the formwork from our basement foundation walls. We are very appreciative of Leo Debrabander and Western Forms for their time and effort as well as the supply of formwork. In preparation to pour a concrete slab for the basement floor, we filled the area with gravel and laid in wire mesh for reinforcement. When the concrete was poured, we had to make sure everything was level. This was our first opportunity to do flatwork and we spent a great deal of time leveling out the concrete and troweling over areas to get a clean smooth finish.
