This week we continued preparations on the site in Kansas City. With the site survey complete, the removal of three trees is an unfortunate necessity for excavation. We addressed sedimentation control and erosion prevention with the temporary addition of a silt fence. To prepare for the demolition of a magazine building at Sunflower Ammunition Plant we spent some time cleaning up and organizing the warehouse to make room for the reclaimed lumber. A very articulate plan is imperative for us to be able to efficiently disassemble the building in an organized manner.
Plans, elevations, and details have been through many revisions and changes as we prepare to submit our permit set to the city. We are all going through a learning process of how our building will be constructed by working out the intricate details and spending a lot of time on perfecting our plans.
