Our cabinets were installed in both the kitchen and bathroom.  The cabinets on the north side of the kitchen hang from blocking in the wall approximately 10 inches off the ground.   These cabinets also conceal a pull-out dishwasher and house the kitchen sink.  The top mounted cabinets above are vertically hinged and approximately 18 inches tall.  In the middle of the kitchen is where most of our appliances will be installed with accessory cabinets along each side.  The bathroom cabinets are also raised and house the bathroom sinks.
