The steel extension of the upper west side, commonly referred to as the west cage, was mounted into place. The overhang was constructed at our warehouse in three pieces for ease of transportation and installation. Each piece needed to be carried up scaffolding set up on each corner of the west face of the house. It was then attached to blocking installed along the outer structure and on the face of the Alcoa.
