Steel work had us separated between Lawrence and Kansas City again this week.  At the warehouse, steel tube was laid out on our large wooden platform to comprise the structure of our stair core.  The horizontal members of each frame had been drilled to hold glass using a bolted connection.  Each piece was welded together and cleaned to prepare for a clear finish. Three frames make up each wall surrounding the stairs and will then be assembled on site.
