The patch of bad weather this week took some of us off-site and back to the shelter of our warehouse. Here we started working on the steel for our design. The battens for our cumaru siding and the structure for our stair-core were the first to get underway. Thirty-nine battens were created in total and, with the exception of those designated for the southwest of our building, ran approximately 18 feet long. The steel for the stair-core was laid out on a level platform built to accommodate the dimensions for the entire structure. Each constructed piece was cleaned and coated with black DTM paint.
