Finishing every piece of work possible in the warehouse was the objective of week eleven. The EPDM roof was completed, fully adhered to the roof deck, with temporary sheathing along the mod seams that will be replaced with sheathing that spans across the seams when we have completed setting the units. Drywall was added to the skylight niches, giving a cohesive look to our gallery space. Early in the week, a group of us visited Greensburg to begin backfilling the basement foundation walls. All of the backfill had to be compacted with four jumping jacks to avoid settlement that might delay our work on the outside space around the building. We appreciate the generosity of our local caterpillar dealer, Martin Tractor, for the loan of the backfill equipment.
